All BullMach products are certified according to current European Union regulations.
Products falling under these regulations are marked with the CE symbol after undergoing checks to ensure compliance.
CE – Conformité Européenne
The CE marking is mandatory for all equipment powered by something other than direct human or animal force, containing at least one moving part and capable of performing a function.
Other products, such as protective masks, may also fall under this marking.
This marking ensures that, where required, compliance checks have been carried out successfully.
Behind the CE mark are numerous regulations. For each applicable one, the product must prove compliance.
Here are some of the most common regulations applied to BullMach products:
- Directive 2006/42/EC – Machinery Directive: the cornerstone of mechanical standards. All machinery must comply with this crucial directive;
- Directive 2014/35/EU – Low Voltage Directive: applies to all electrical equipment operating between 50 and 1000 V AC and 75 and 1500 V DC;
- Directive 2014/30/EU – Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive: ensures the equipment meets appropriate levels of electromagnetic compatibility;
- Directive 2000/14/EC: sets noise limits and control methods for machinery;
- Regulation 2014/35/EC on materials intended to come into contact with food, ensuring they are safe for food preparation;
- Regulation 2016/426/EU on appliances burning gaseous fuels, such as gas barbecues and ovens
These are just a few examples; BullMach complies with many other standards to guarantee your safety.
There are also EN standards, which define strict testing criteria for machinery, such as EN 609-1:2017, which details how a log splitter must be designed.
An important aspect not to be overlooked is waste disposal.
WEEE – Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
This symbol, known as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), indicates that the product must not be disposed of with general household waste at the end of its life, but taken to a designated collection center.
These products may contain metals that are hazardous to the environment if not properly disposed of, but also valuable for recycling. Therefore, by following your local authority’s guidelines, you can take them to the proper collection points free of charge.
This also applies to batteries – lithium, lead-acid, alkaline, etc. If you’re unsure how to proceed, feel free to contact BullMach for more information.
